Dame Kelly Holmes won two gold medals at the Athens Olympics in the 800m and 1500m to add to the 800m bronze she won in Sydney in 2000.
She has three World Championship medals, two European Championships medals as well as three Commonwealth medals.

She was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in 2005 and, in 2008, founded the DKH Legacy Trust.
