Road & Track Cycling was first introduced in 1896 as a part of the modern Olympic movement. Mountain Biking was introduced into the Olympics exactly a century later in 1996. BMX racing was introduced in 2008, followed by the introduction of BMX freestyle in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games.
