Team GB - Athletics

Athletics is seen as the showpiece of the Olympics, and for good reason. Athletics has been part of the Olympics since the very first Olympic Games in 776BC. Athletics is a collection of 47 different track sports that involve sprinting, throwing, jumping, and walking.

Team GB sit in third position on the all-time Olympics leader board with 193 medals, including 53 gold medals.

Many of Team GB's memorable Olympic moments come from Athletics, including 2012's "Super Sunday" when Jessica Ennis-Hill, Mo Farah, and Greg Rutherford lit up the Olympic stadium  with their gold medal wins.
